Oh yes, I have a blog! I have forgotten obviously. What's the latest? Rachel is sick in bed right now- no good. I just reformatted my laptop, had to start over- too many programs and other crap bogging it down. I just realized now that all my saved passwords and user names for my many internet site logins are gone. So I have to remember them all- so random all the variations on my name and passwords. I think if I ever lose my prodigy email account I will be screwed for life- because all my passwords, authorizations, and subscriptions are linked to it. What else?

Ahh, the job applications... I have sent out 11 (Westmont, Cornell, Seattle University, UC Merced, UC Boulder, University of the Pacific, UC Santa Cruz, Colorado State, Fairfield University-in Conn, Duke, and Guilford- in NC) finished 2 to go out tomorrow (CSU Stanislaus, UC Irvine), and have 3 more to finish (Seattle Pacific University, Cal Poly Pomona, San Francisco State). It will be interesting to see if I get any interviews. I am definately ready to work as an assistant professor- and have some great qualifications- I just have no idea what the competition is. I try not to get too excited about any one place, because who knows what will happen. The one thing I am assured about is that if I go the post-doc route- there are plenty of jobs out there. And many jobs in places I would enjoy living. This year will be interesting...

Lastly, Lucas and I voted. I think it is hilarious that all the propositions were voted down- what a waste...
