Day 1- Dakota Dunes

So, first off- I am running off 3 hours of sleep so I apologize for being incoherent.  We left the house just after 4am and were running late!  Our bag barely made the plane, and we walked right onto the plane and took off.  The landing in South Dakota was not so fun for Rachel.  At least I know now what those little bags in the seat pockets are for.  Rachel made it to touchdown, and then decided to barf.  Awesome.
So from that we had a quick lunch then drove down to the Dunes.  We saw several homes, but here are the finalists...
1) "The Electric House"
The house is all electric- which sounds to me like it will cost a fortune to heat- but apparently because of the cost of electricity here it is significantly cheaper to heat.  A guy heated his entire house for $60 for the month!  So the photos here are of the unfinished house.  It will be ready in time for our move though.  Upside- it is the nicest of them all- will be finished really well and has a ranch layout.  Downside- $$$  Basement is not finished and we'd have to pay for appliances, sod, sprinklers, landscaping.  Also there are tons of undeveloped lots surrounding it- so we have to deal with lots of building noise (perhaps no good for naps).

2) "Hawk Circle"
This one is a split level house.  Looks great inside and out and is the cheapest of the 3.  Upside- price, look, and location.  Downside- Unfinished basement (although the layout is nice).

3) "Wet Bar"
The one is not brand new and so is the best value of the 3.  The basement is finished and opens out to the yard.  The yard is cool- opens up to the trail and a short walk to the park.  And of course, it comes with a wet bar...  oh yeah.  The downside- small kitchen, and our children might wander off quite frequently...
